Each Beth-El expandable cabinet shelter is an attractive solution for a hidden NBC-resistant chamber. Each protected cabinet contains an expandable protection liner and a CBR filtration system (Chemical, Biological, Radiological). The built-in shelving provides a place to accommodate a wide variety of support items, such as food staples, communication devises, and a portable toilet, etc. The cabinets are available in a variety of sizes and variations and can provide protection for occupants from 6 – 35 people. Sealable outlets for electricity and telephone lines are also integrated.
The cabinet shelters are normally closed, appearing like a normal wall-unit; but, in an emergency the door to the cabinet can be opened and the cabinet fully expanded. Once the occupants have entered the newly expanded tent, purified air is pumped into the protected shelter through an NBC filtration system, creating positive pressure inside the sealed compartment. This provides a comfortable, protected space, relieving occupants form wearing gas masks or protective clothing inside the shelter.
