Compact, Heavy-duty, High Performance Ventilation and NBC-Filtration Systems

The FA N series NBC filtration systems are very compact, heavy-duty, high performance ventilation and NBC filtration ­systems that supply clean air to tent and container ­compartments in times of peace or during conventional combat (NBC filter bypassed) and filtered air in times of NBC contamination. By introducing the ­filtered air and creating over-pressure inside the compartment, the interior of the tent is effectively protected, enabling convenient freedom of movement inside the protected area without the need for gas masks or protective clothing.

Operating the filtration system and first level maintenance of the system is very easy and can be performed by the user without tools. Changeover from ventilation mode (dust filtered air) to filtration mode (NBC filtered air) is performed within one minute by simply opening the rapid latches and ­changing the sequence of units. The system can be connected to 115 V AC or 230 V AC with optional sets of adaptors for various national standards and a 5-pole CEE-plug.

Three different heating stages are built in for operation in cold environments or for ­dehumidifying the air that passes through the filter (900 W at the first stage for operating with limited power sources like field generators, 1760 W at the medium stage and 2500 W for the full heating ­output). A differential pressure gauge for aerosol filter saturation is a standard build-in and ­various ­additional options are available as well.

The system is in service with various armies (among them: NATO forces, PfP armies, and other forces all over the world) and has been operated successfully in recent major peace keeping missions.
