The FA 180 ZM-1includes a highly efficient dynamic filter followed by a dust filter, which alleviates the clogging of the subsequent filtration stages of the NBC filter. This ensures the highest ­efficiency for lengthy periods of time, even in the most harsh or dusty environments and the system's unique NBC cartridges add tremendous benefits, one of which is to reduce the footprint of a deployed force by using the same filters as the Beth-El vehicle systems.

The ZM system was specially developed to safely protect soldiers and their equipment in all ­operational areas against NBC contamination and dust ­accumulation. The FA 180 ZM-1 is used for a wide range of collective protection facilities such as mobile command posts, military camps, and medical centres. Quick and simple setup, the highest reliability, and the capability to operate ­continuously (24/7 operation) for a prolonged period of time, are important features of this system.

Beth-El Industries' FA 180 ZM-1 NBC filtration system creates a positive pressure inside the tent / compartment and, thus, prevents the penetration of contaminated or dusty air. This relieves the occupants from wearing gas masks and protective clothing inside the pressurized area.

The sensitivity to moisture has been reduced to a minimum, providing an exceptionally long life time and thus also allowing for excellent absorption capabilities of toxic industrial chemicals. These characteristics make the FA 180 ZM-1 indispensable when preventive and effective assurance is required for troops that are carrying out their duties and missions in international deployments.
