The Expandable Cabinet Shelter is an attractive cabinet containing an expandable protection liner that is equipped with a Chemical, Biological, Radiological (CBR) filtration system. The built-in shelving provides a place to accommodate all the necessary items for survival such as food, beverages, communication means, chemical toilet, etc. The cabinet shelter is available in a variety of sizes and versions, providing protection for between 6 and 35 occupants. Outlets for electricity and telephone are also integrated.

The shelter is comprised of a cabinet body for wall installation, an easy to move cabinet front that accommodates the airtight entrance door, and an expandable airtight protected space with liner material impermeable to war gases, bacteria, and viruses.

The filtration system is comprised of a combination of components, including but not limited to: a prefilter for dust particle removal, a HEPA filter to filter out viruses, bacteria, and other dangerous biological particles, and a high performance carbon filter that adsorbs toxic chemicals and gases. An electric motor with a manual back-up in case of power failure (a battery back-up is also available in selected versions) is also included in the CBR system, as well as an overpressure valve to regulate the positive pressure within the protected compartment.
